and just when i thought this day couldn’t get any better, meaning it was 95 degrees today… i almost forgot. boise has the best hot summer night thunderstorms. i thought i’d seen amazing ones in the past, but this… this was THE best thunderstorm i’ve ever seen. ever. hands down. lightning bolts and thunder (that seemed like it was going to crack the windows at times) literally nonstop for about an hour. so glad i witnessed this. folks, no better place to be tonight than boise, idaho.
sometimes i really do wish i had some of those. at moments i’ve wanted to fast forward to summer, to pause so i could fill more of my time with studying, to rewind and slow down to enjoy more things. but really, i have been blessed beyond belief this year. it is hard to believe that my second year of school is almost over. where has the time gone?! it literally felt like just yesterday that i hung these pictures on the wall that i’m now taking down. what a lovely life it is. my floor has been such a blessing to me this year and i’m so extremely excited to see what the next couple years have in store. SO stoked for my house next year. i have the privilege to live with seven beautiful women in a quaint house that will soon be our home. can’t wait to fill it with memories. cheers to summer, cheers to another year, cheers.
“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”—The Great Gatsby (via skyeblue)
